      How do I apply my lipid- replenishing emollient ?

      • Once or twice a day, with clean hands, or even more often if your skin itches.
      • After each shower, to restore the protective hydrolipidic film and avoid itching. The treatment is best applied to slightly damp skin.
      • Use both hands to ensure even distribution. Spread the product on your hands and gently massage it in with small, slow, enveloping movements.
      • Use a thin layer. A layer that is too thick can lead to irritation and tingling.

      The Xeracalm A.D. Lipid-Replenishing Balm and Cream are used daily to limit and prevent skin dryness and itching*. It’s the SOS product to keep with you! Whether the balm or cream, adapt the texture to your skin type or the season: balm if your skin is very dry, cream when it is less so.

      Soothe and relieve your skin quickly with an Avène thermal spring water compress: spray the water onto tissues and leave them on your face for 10 minutes. In case of itching*, regularly apply a soothing concentrate, including on the eyelids if necessary. In case of irritation, use a protective repairing cream once or twice a day. And as a preventive measure, moisturise and protect your skin with a lipid-replenishing cream or balm at least once a day.

      Simple but essential daily gestures limit skin dryness and restore the skin's barrier function. This way, the skin is less and less itchy. Here is our advice:
      Opt for gentle hygiene with a cleansing oil and lukewarm water between 32-34°C, and make sure their shower or bath does not exceed 10 minutes. Moisturise and protect the skin with a lipid-replenishing cream or balm at least once a day, even when the skin condition seems under control.
